Puppet Ministry

The purpose of the puppeteers is to spread God's word through song and story. Although the children have fun, they learn puppet skills, how to pray, and participate in Bible lessons surrounding the topic of their shows. A puppet ministry involves the use of many talents. Designing and making props, signs, flyers, puppeteers (persons using a puppet to tell a story), proppeteers (persons using props to help the puppets tell a story), rehearsal helpers, stage crew (assist with setting-up and tearing-down activities).

Our puppet ministry participants have fun as well as find a rewarding purpose in spreading God's word in a unique manner to children and adults. The children focus on doing their best for God so that the llistener can understand the meaning of the show.
St. Matthew Praise Puppeteers have provided puppet ministry for events at St. Matthew and surrounding churches. They have also participated in community events.

The JUNIOR Puppeteers, Kindergartners through 2nd grade students, practice weekly on Wednesday nights unless the schedule states otherwise.
