GETTING AWAY FROM GOD?
This coming weekend is often referred to as the “last weekend of summer.” A last chance for people to get away for a weekend before the back to school, fall sports and activities, etc. season takes off in earnest.
I received the following from a group that was handing out cards at the most recent Lower Susquehanna Synod Assembly. It’s good for us to remember how try as we might, God keeps “coming after us” in love!
May …Christ’s love track you down
…Christ’s grace stalk you
…Christ’s goodness pursue you
…Christ’s kindness hunt for you
…Christ’s compassion shadow you
…Christ’s honesty haunt you
…Christ’s peace tail you
…Christ’s wholeness hound you
…Christ’s joy chase you
…Christ’s forgiveness drown you
…Christ’s mercy infect you so that you may spread mercy to others
…Christ’s death destroy the fear of death
…Christ’s resurrection lift you to life now and for all eternity!
May this be true for us and about us!
